Moving Companies or carriers engaged in the interstate transportation of household goods must follow when offering services customers. The regulations only apply to your mover when the mover transports your household goods by motor vehicle in interstate commerce – that is, when you are moving from one State to another. The regulations do not apply when your interstate move takes place within a roughly equivalent to the local metropolitan area of a city or town.
